President’s message

Welcome to the Rotary Club Bucharest web page.  The motto of Rotary International Service Above Self is by itself and by its meaning the engine of our positive intervention actions that mould consciousnesses and development ways in the society that we live in. We are most of all friends, with different professions by which we try, by means of the projects we undertake, to contribute to making a positive difference in society.

If you are interested in finding out more about our activity and in joining our projects or in sharing your impressions or comments, please write to us using the contact section on this page.

With Rotarian friendship,

Meda Annemarie Vasiliu

President of Rotary Club Bucharest, 2014 - 2015

What is Rotary?

Rotary is an organization comprising businessmen and specialists reunited at a global level that offers humanitarian help, promotes the highest ethical standards in any professional activity and contributes to the instauration of goodwill and peace into the world.

The 4 Questions Test:

One of the things that we think, say or do:
1.    Is this the truth?
2.    Is it correct for everybody involved?
3.    Will it generate goodwill and friendship?
4.    Will it be beneficial to everybody involved?

The Rotary Objective

The Rotary Objective is to encourage and support the ideal “service” as a foundation for valuable actions and to encourage and support especially:
1.    The nursing of friendship, as a chance to serve the community;
2.    High professional and business ethical standards, as well the ennoblement of each Rotarian’s profession, giving him/her the opportunity to serve the whole society;
3.    The implementation of the ideal “service” in the private, social and business life of each Rotarian;
4.    The progress of international understanding, goodwill and peace by means of a worldwide community of friends – professionals and businessmen united by the ideal “service”
